Hi Everybody,
I want to introduce myself to the Community.
I’ve been collecting coins (mostly modern) since 2007. However, I only started to be a serious collector of ancient Greek coins last 9 months ago. After I acquired my first tetradrachm of Lysimachus (which was my first Greek coin) I fell in love with the coinage of ancient Greece and decided to narrow down my coin collecting to ancient Greek. I have several collections of Roman Imperial denarii but for unknown reason never impress me, but decided to keep them anyway. You can view my Greek coin collection through this link http://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/index.php?cat=23765 in the Members Gallery. Coins that I posted acquired from Harlan Berk display only one side of the coin per file/picture. I have problem merging the pictures (obverse & reverse of the same coin) using my very ancient Jurassic computer software for photoshop, so I have to indicate which side of the coin is the obverse or the reverse. Coins I acquired from FORVM, CNG, etc. have the usual merged picture of both sides in a single picture. Thank you for letting me join this venerable king of hobbies.

Hi Jason, these are very nice coins. There are several threads on the topic of merging pictures.

I prefer the version using GIMP (free), it's not as complicated as it sounds:

Here's a tutorial:

Irfanview is easier but only works well when your two pictures are pretty much the same size, i.e. for round coins. It would not work well for your Sikyon stater.

Welcome Jason T.

A Great collection of quality Greeks.

I collected then lost interest in Roman silvers and migrated to nice big impressive mainly Hellenistic tetradrachms.

Welcome to Forvm!

I don't collect Greek coins, but admire them from afar. What a beautiful group of coins you have uploaded to the galleries.
