Hi,

Just acquired this coin of Aurelius with a lovely Tiber reverse:

Obv: M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXIX
Laureate bust right.
Rev: P M TR P VII COS III
River-god Tiber, nude to waist, reclining l., resting his r. hand on side of boat, holding reed in his l. hand, his l. arm resting on urn of which water flows.
RIC 1142

Regards,

Mauseus

Very nice coin Mauseus, the reverse design is really very pleasant, Nice depiction of Aurelius, he always looks so intense on a lot of his coins.

A particularly nice river depiction to compare with the Moesian and Thracian ones.

I really like these personification reverse types, this one is rather well done.

Hi,
But reverse is IMP VII COS III
Thank-you, that is cutting and pasting someone else's description for you when I was too lazy to look it up.

Regards,

Mauseus
