ONE COIN PER POST.  Do not post groups of coins unless you have a group of coins that are all the same exact type.

The answer can be very long. To make it short India long before the Brits arrived ( and till now) wss divided into states, each with its own ruler.(maharajah).They struck coins and were filthy rich. Instead of coins they collected diamonds and other jewels.

Second two are from India, Kashmir 9th century through 11th century, and the Nagari legend is to the left and right of one figure on each coin. I dont believe it is Didda Rani

like this link. I believe it might be Kalasa but my poor eyesight cant make out the symbols.

In that case, just stick to one coin per post, period.

The Bigger coin is supposedly from the time of Mughul Emperor Akbar. Correct?
