I have to agree, that is indeed a stunning coin. Certainly the best portrait of Pupienus I've ever seen. The coin overall is amazing.

A handsome specimen.  Balbinus and Pupienus managed to produce a sizable variety of coinage during their 3-4 month reign

The coin comes from an old collection (it was added in 1965).
The surface is originally smoothed and it has some small scratches.
Not only the portrait but also the reverse is in great style and surpassing
condition. For Pupienus such a coin is very difficult to find!

It is a real piece of art! :)
