L.Rustius. AR Denarius. 74 BC.  3,82 grs. Helmeted head of Mars right; mark of value below chin; SC behind   /   Ram standing right. L RVSTI in exergue.
Craw 389/1. RSC Rustia 1.

Pic unworthy of a beautiful and in great style coin ( unfortunately not rare  :'(  ). Enjoy.

Excellent condition for the type, and not so easy to find so well preserved. It looks like it would improve with careful cleaning.

Excuse my asking, but it looks like light coming every which way, as usually is the case with recent flatbed scanners.  Is it possible that the image is from one such?  Pat L.
