i m struggling to assign a ric number to this coin

ORIENS AVG , mintmark * in field and S in exergue

it isnt 134-138 as the obverse legend 3 does not match
it isnt 246-248 as the mintmark does not match
it isnt 251-255 as they have 2 captives and not one like mine

Never mind RIC, your coin is Göbl 221 c2 from
6th emission of Siscia.

Is this coin similar to the one posted. Seems to have a staff in right hand but s in ex. Any thoughts

yours is the same coin with a different mintmark
while mine has Star in field and S in exergue your only has S in exergue

Try with RIC V.1 revision website Monnaies de l'Empire romain / Roman Imperial Coinage 268-276 AD

they have 5 specimen, If I found right coin.Take a look...
