Thanks Benito.
Looks that I have good luck with this one.
I grant you that the condition isn`t so good but coins with Aquillia Severa aren`t common.
Thanks again.

Not particularly rare. And with a bit of luck you can find them for a good price. Mine cost me an egg.

Already replied to Cicerokid and his dinosaur egg question. My post has been deleted possibly because I used the expression coitus interruptus referring to
the end of a satisfactory sexual relation between a collector and his ( or one of his) collections.

So I still don't know what sort of egg benito was able to exchange for rare coins. This is really amazing. We are discussing a potential new form of primitive currency, capable of buying rare coins, on this numismatic discussion board. It is very unusual for numismatists to invent their own forms of currency. Usually they merely collect currencies created by others.

Andrew.  Rare iguana egg.
Rupert. You can try to lay. But an ostrich egg might hurt.
If my post is restablished you could understand.

Sorry Benito. I know I'm silly. I'm old enough now to fear it won't change anymore. ;)

Let me guess: is it a literal translation of the (very) Spanish expression "me ha costado un huevo"? We say that in Spain when something has been extremely tough to buy or achieve...

Of course, we also say "it cost me a kidney", or "it cost me an eye of the face" (yes, I'm sure you're wondering where one has eyes other that there, but we do say "un ojo de la cara"!).

Regards,
Ignasi

Ah - then it would be THE OPPOSITE of what it means in German! We say "Ich hab's für'n Appel und 'n Ei gekriegt", colloquial German for "I got it for an apple and an egg", and it means "it cost me next to nothing"!
