Sorin has started the upgrade to to a two server configuration.  This should improve the reliability and speed of the entire website.  The move should not require a lot of downtime but I am sure there will be some. We hope to be complete by Monday, 2 April. 

The cost of maintaining the site will increase to more than $8000 a year.  If we were a typical shop, without the discussion board, fake coin reports, members' gallery, members' auction and NumisWiki we would not need two servers.  Please support the resources we provide free by shopping at Forum today!

The discussion board database is now on the new database server.  The rest of website move is ongoing.  If something doesn't work, the move is likely the reason.  I think the discussion board is already faster and we should gain more speed with the move to the new web server.

Gallery, Fake Reports and store catalog databases are now on the new database server.  Because we used to have everything on one server, we may have missed changing some things and some things may not work.  Please post here if you have any issues with any functions of the website.  Right now we are aware of the following:

- Buy it now in auctions not working.

I think the site is already much faster and only one of the two new servers is being set up.  I am hoping the site will be quite fast when done.

Most things that were not working before should be working now.  If something does not work, please try closing your browser and reopening it.  If it still does not work, please let me know.

Seems faster to me.  Supposedly, it should be 4x faster.  Anyone else notice a difference?

It seems noticeably faster I hope it lasts; there have been times (like last night) when it's been really slow.
