This
Sabina hemidrachm appeared recently in
CNG electronic
auction 278-244
This
type was only known from the Naples general
collection 9884, but the date given there was L I(Z)?, which is a date in which no
Sabina hemidrachms were issued. The
Hadrian parallel issue was dated LIS (Dattari/Savio 7687 and from a note in
Vogt, likely also a specimen in
Berlin).
In both the
Sabina and
Hadrian issues there is a small standing figure in front of Hermanubis, which I believe is
Elpis, as well as a jackal behind Hermanubis. The Naples
collection does not identify anything in front of Hermanubis.
Both the
Sabina and
Hadrian coins are attached.
