I wonder if you can confirm an idea I have about a coin I found some years ago in
Iran, to be more specific, in the ruins of the Anahita temple near Hamadan, the old Ekbatana. Now I know that the coin is not Iranian, at least I think I know. And I doubt it has been planted there, for not many tourists make it to this site. It appears to be a bronze coin with frontal
portraits on both sides. Unfortunately it has corroded to such an extent that it is very difficult to make out anything beyond this point. I have tried to clean it gently but for fear of destroying it completely I did not continue. It weighs 8,04 gr, its dimensions are 24.85 x 25.95, the
die axis is
180 degrees. These are the best pics I could manage with the equipment I have. Perhaps someone can
