Sigismund I quarting
« on: December 23, 2011, 12:36:56 am »
Hello,

I do not recognize anything on this coin, except for the top of a patriarchal cross on one side with a star to the left.

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

I think it is a Sigismund I quarting.

Sigismund I, Hungary 1387 - 1437 billon quarting.  Patriarchal cross with stars left and right / crown

Very nice.  I'm curious as to whether you have tabulated the various mint-marks in the hoard by frequency.

I attempted it, but many were difficult to interpret. There are over 630 of them.

I'm envious, as I have only four of them.  ;)
