Who doesn't like dolphins? I know I do!  Can I share my Thasos dolphin hemiobol?

My satyr trihemiobol is very much like yours, Quadrans, but without the grasshopper.  What a find! Your post alerted me to the Rosen reference; I had better add that reference to my satyr, as I now have that book!

Beautiful SAECVLARES coin of Otacilia Severa, quadrans.  Not sure my better half would want a hippo on the reverse of her coin, though.  Philip I (better known as the husband of Otacilia), got to choose his reverse, and he gets the antelope...

Philip I. 244-249 AD. AR Antoninianus of Rome, 6th officina. 9th emission, 248 AD. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust r. IMP PHILIPPVS AVGG. / Antelope walking l. SAECVLARES AVGG, VI in exergue. Ludi Saeculares (Secular Games) issue, commemorating the 1000th anniversary of Rome. RIC IV #21; RSC 189; Sear III #8959.

Yeah, I haven't uploaded any Roman coinage to the galleries yet. It's my 2020 resolution  ;).
