Pins for Pin Vises??
« on: December 07, 2011, 01:44:32 am »
Hello friends,

It seems easy to find any old pin vise, but what kind of pins do people use, and how do you sharpen them?

Thanks in advance.

Ive used standard sewing pins before.  Cheap enough not to worry about sharpening them.

I buy brass basting pins and cut off the straight part to use in my pin vice. They are cheap and easy to resharpen with sandpaper.
Organized religion is the second oldest profession, and nowhere near as honest as the first.
