I have wanted a Alexander III Herk/Zeus drachm for awhile and after trying to ID it myself for awhile I gave up and asked for help.

Now it has been added to my gallery with proper info.

Thanks again Rover!

I never thought I would own a julius caesar denarius, but I got it for peanuts compared to what they normally go for so I had to buy it one way or another.

Wonderful acquisition Mat.  I’m very happy for you.  One day, perhaps when my daughter finishes her degree, I hope to add a Julius Caesar Denarius to my humble collection.

Good find Mat ..and well done for releasing the elephant from it's plastic prison. A coin anyone would be proud to have in their collection.

A new addition to my collection, a lifetime issue of Valerian II.

What makes this unique is it's reverse, it features the goddess Spes, by herself. Most example have spes with the young price reverse but this is only Spes.

This is the very first example here on the Forvm gallery, none are on wildwinds or ACsearch. So there is a level of rareity for this particular piece.

It cost me two roman tetradrachms in a trade but I am happy to have it.

As usual though its of low silver content.

Even though I have been collecting for several years now, I always preferred the AR coinage. A good e-friend sent me a big bronze of my choosing to give me an idea of what I am missing, lol. :D

My newest Crispina to my set has been added. This is the scarce "DIS GENITABILIS, lighted altar" reverse.

Now I only need 3 reverses left 8)

Some extraordinary coins are crowning your collection,Mat! I especially like the Nerva denarius...not allof his coins have such a great portrait.

Goy my first emesa mint severus. Loved the toning too much to pass it up. Priced right also.

Seems to be scarce also.

I am very fond of the Emesan portraiture of Septimius.  I try to pick them up when I can.
