As of Domitian.

It says that it would be a "AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm". What is that? Is it a mixture of bronze and silver since it says AR? The coin looks bronze to me.

Thanks

No, that's a different coin. AR means silver.

So RIC 224 would not be correct. This coin is bronze.

I think rather than just having forum members present you with RIC numbers you should start with the basics, read the legends, do some research (e.g. on www.ascearch.info). A RIC number is secondary and by itself doesn't tell you much, especially if you don't have RIC.

With a few key words you can find most coins easily, especially Roman Imperials. It's much more fun that way.

Your coin has different obverse legend.

Looks more as a match (though different condition) to this one.

Maybe more, but I think the legend contains
...DIVI VESP F before DOMIT...

It does contain DIVI VESP F before Domit....
What I wanted to say is that   http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=361843 is more of a match to
http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=174712 than to the coin posted in first place. The differences in price
are quite notable.

So then it is neither one of the links are the correct one. I'll keep searching.

It's tough to make out the legends...but if you say in hand you can read 'DIVI VESP F'...it could be RIC 208.

Yes, I think that's the only Rome-mint one (not copied by Agrippa II) that has the altar rev. type with DIVI VESP F in the obv. legend.
