A friend recently sent me close-up images of what appears to be a Roman provincial
of Tiberius and Augustus, which I have attached here. The coin is 18mm in diameter and weighs 5.2g. So far, my attempts to attribute it haven't been very successful. While it has the look of a Thessalonica
issue of Tiberius and Augustus, the legends (what is left of them) just don't seem to match in any way I have tried. The weight also seems a bit low for these types.
What do others say? Thank you in advance for any tips!
