Clear Gloss
« on: October 01, 2010, 01:48:11 am »
Has anyone ever considered or tried sealing
a coin with a clear gloss paint?
I remember(from my younger days)that Testors
used to make a product for protecting finished
hobby kits.
......
Been reading alot of posts about waxing, flips,
air tights, etc.and remembered doing this years ago.
Probably an obsurd idea, but thought I'd ask.

The problem is that I like to smell and taste my coins (to determine authenticity but also to date them) and this would interfere with that. Hope this helps.

You have to use all your senses. I talk to them telepathically and if they're fake they usually give it away in the history quiz.

Never noticed until now, amigo.

Just tasted some Black Sea Greek issues with Sturgeon Fish Rx's, and they taste just like caviar. On the other hand, my Alexandria issues taste like dates. Who knew?

Best,
