Hello Everyone,

My specialty is the Heraclian Dynasty of the Byzantine Empire and I have a gallery with all such coins in my collection, sans my most recent acquisitions.

Coins just added include a Heraclius Sear 805 with figures holding long crosses instead of globus crucigers, a Heraclius Half Follis from Thessalonica with an unlisted year and a Constans II Follis with eagle countermark.

Very nice gallery, and a subject I know NOTHING about! Thanks for posting them so I have a chance to get a bit more familiar. Smiley

Hello Everyone,

More coins were just added.  I think I finally found a Sear 1106.  I've been looking for five years and didn't see one for sale or in archives with that attribution that I believed in until now.  I even doubted its existence.  The faces were just too young like on 1105.  This one looks more mature, though the beard is still kind of dotty.

Hello Everyone,

Thanks cw!  More coins have been added.  Highlights include a Constans II Half Follis with Greek_NuGreek_epsilonGreek_OmicronG completely spelled out.  Usually a Greek_Nu or Greek_NuGreek_epsilon is all you get.

I thought your Justinian II half follis SB 1262 is a rather nice example of that hard to find coin. Wonderful cut flan and nice condition.
