The portrait looks rather like Diocletian, though doing a (cursory, I'll admit) search I can find no exact coin match.

Thought maybe Aurelian or Probus.

It looks like it says something like "RIAN---VG" to the right of the portrait.  I assume that might be "RIANVS AVG".

The portrait style looks like Probus (276-282) though it could be a bit earlier or later.

That would give as options:

AVRELIANVS AVG
TACITVS AVG
FLORIANVS AVG
PROBVS AVG
CARINVS AVG
CARVS AVG
NUMERIANVS AVG
DIOCLETIANVS AVG

If it is RIANVS AVG on the seal then you have two candidates: Florian and Numerian.

If LIANVS AVG try Aurelian.  If TIANVS AVG try Diocletian.

I don't have RIC V but maybe Wildwinds has images of enough aurei??

The attitude makes me think of Probus or Aurelian as well, but they are typically helmeted in their coin portraits with shields at shoulder.

I see no reason why an aureus, specifically. The seal's obverse image could be from dies of any of several coin denominations.
