I got this
Claudius As last week with some really bad green crust. I think someone also tried putting a
fake green
patina to hide the crust (didn't
work). I thought great! This is a
good time to try Gringgotts wizards mix. Into the
pot he went. I boiled him for about 20 minutes on a low boil, then let him sit overnight. Next morning the water was green. The coin has a beautiful redish brown
patina. I picked at the crust with an exacto blade and brushed with a soft nylon brush. I did
nick the
patina in a few places and under the green encrustation it is a
bit pitted. I stoped when the encrustation was level to the coin surface. I touched up the nicks with a spot of Deller's. It worked great, I only put it on the spots which were bare. Then let it dry and waxed him. What do you think?
