I am convinced it is a fake but not so sure how it was made.

Dear Joe;

Do you think that these coin may be made with a die? I don´t see  anyone evidence of that but however seems cast.

But the fact is ...I don´t undestand why the edge is formed by two parts. Is necesary this in a cast coin?

Thanks and regards.

Not if it's a lost wax cast. Many casts are made using two half-moulds though, and the seam is always there in that case.

A pity... But this case shows the importance of buying from reputable dealers who will honour the return policy!

Of course, Ignasi, of course. But not only that, collectors also have a right to expect an apology from the seller.

In fact, to return the money if they have sold a fake coin is only a legal obligation.Offer an apology is a moral obligation.
