That's all I can say about this coins from an uncleaned lot. The quality is desastrous but any suggestins to the ID of this coin are very much appreciated!

Part of the obverse legend is visible but I can't make it out. The portrait does suggest Claudius II Gothicus but Tetricus I is also a possibility.

I can't see any sign of Tetricus' beard, and there don't appear to be enough letters in the inscription for him. so I'd say Gothicus.

Different eyes see different things. I said Tetricus specifically because I do think I see his beard! With a coin in this shape, one might see anything. But Robert may be correct about the legend being too short for Tetricus. It probably is Gothicus, but that's not a given.

Thanks gentlemen! I guess I also see a beard so that narrows the choice somewhat down!

If I could figure out the remaining letters of the legend I might nail it down, but I can't see them in the photo well enough to do so. Zeeusepiep, can you look at the coin in hand and see if you can figure out what the remaning letters are and post them on here?
Thanks.
