From WildwindsRIC 944 - Vespasian Denarius. Struck 77/8 AD. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head left / COS VIII in exergue, yoke of oxen left. BMC 209, RSC 134a.

If you can learn title abbreviations it is easy to find the emperor's name, unless you can't see the letters. This is an interesting coin, as the letters go counter clockwise.

Actually, a lot of Flavian coinage was struck like that.  :)

Vespasian plated denar. RSC 134a.

I just wanted to restate what Pekka has already said just for clarity sake: this is a fouree (silver plated contemporary counterfeit) OF the denarius that Bud was refering to.
