A correction

This type is known:
(1) with AVG without ligation
(2) with ligation of only VG, and
(3) with ligation of all 3 letters AVG

Very nice to have found an example of type 1. I have two examples of type 2, one of which I show here. I also have, for completeness an example of type 3. Which I also include here.

A correction

Commodus, AD 177-192
AE 15, 3.66g
obv. AVT KAI - AVR KOMOD - OC
        laureate head r.
rev. NIKOPO P - IOC IC
Eagle, with open wings, stg. frontal on globe,m head with wreath in beak r.
ref. a) not in AMNG
       b) not in Varbanov (engl.)
       c) Hristova/Jekov (2011) No. 8.10.1.13 corr.
writes AVT KAI - KOMODOC, but OC can be seen clearly under the bust. Therefore I
think it is from the same die and the legend is AVT KAI - AVRH KOMOD - OC too.
PIOC seems to be a badly struck PROC
