I see what you mean, but if you were to also enlarge the
area of the
reverse between 7:00 and 10:00, you might be able to read
FIDES better too. There are too many letters for
PAX AVG. Some
field letters like epsilon can appear rather crude at times. Notice the break where the last bottom curve of the letter should be if it is indeed an 'S'. Also the different
style of portraiture with the
Siscia coin newbeonecoinobe kindly linked to:

Fides) is clearly holding a
standard on the left
side and presumably a spear on the right.
