Is a precise ID possible ?
« on: February 01, 2010, 05:50:59 pm »
Would someone please verify my ID for this Siglos?
Artaxerxes I to Darius III,Kingdom of Lydia,Circa 485-420 BC,Sardeis Mint.

I think it is a  Sear Greek Coins and their Values 4682;Carradice Type III.
I have seen a few online references for these coins, with more precise ID's,
narrower date range, Carradice type III A or B.
Can anyone pin down an accurate ID,is it a Carridice A or B?
I would appreciate any help offered.
The lower scan is a bankers mark at @12:00 on the side of the coin.
Thank you
