chris - too bad about the flan flaw on the Romulus/Remus, it looks like it was struck with brand new obverse and reverse dies, with an unsually nice mm.
I am with you brother! That coin would have been beautiful! The non-corroded portions are perfectly smooth to the touch, although well and evenly patinated. The
mint mark is all I really have on this one, and it is throwing me for a loop trying to figure it out. All in all it is going to be a pretty tough lot...I am actually thinking of going the olive oil route and seeing how that does...I have not tried that in years.
