thanks for your frank opinion!
I just have a few points/questions on that:
1.) When I got the coin, it was already cleaned pretty much down to the metal, most of the dark color one sees on the picture seems to have been a thin layer of goo which came off within seconds by ascorbic acid (similar to lemon juice). I guess I should not have bought that coin.
2.) Removing the corrosion in my eyes just uncovered the truth about the state of the
reverse, doen't it? It shows how corroded these parts are. Is that so bad or do you prefer to leave the problems uncovered for asthetic reasons? Of course, if there is a homogenous
patina on a coin I do not touch it, but this case appears completely different to me, because the coin was already partially depatinated when I got it.
3.) I will store the coin on ambient air, which will darken it. I do not believe that the coin is completely worthless.
