The difference in color behind the coins is from the scanning can used. I believed the tag board that was in the can was not completely flat. So the scanner picked up shadows.
Overall, it was an interesting group. The Salonia already
had the nasty scrapes at about the 1 o'clock spot. They were under the dirt. The
Diocletian had some missing spots of the nice green
patina....made things very difficult. That darn little
Fel Temp was a
bit fargone, and the the
Valentinian II reminded me of a coin that
had been partially flattened. Then there was the
Phoenix...some nice comments about that below!
