Wonder if the rev of the coin's encrustation can be cleaned away?

That is an odd encrustation. It is like some of it is silver and some of it is encrustation(doesn't make sense but I think you get the idea lol
). I think lemon juice is good for stuff like this but let someone else confirm that.

This is a good coin for the olive oil and lemon juice mix. Take 1 teaspoon of lemon juice , mix into 1 cup of olive oil, mix well and add the coin. Warm to about 150 degrees F. until the mixture clears, about 20 minutes. the silver is not affected, but the encrustation should come off.

not yet...going to try it next week when due to our economy, my company has a forced shut down.  When I finish, I will post the picture of the coin.

Olive oil I can afford;

however,

I am currently having my mom, my wife, my mother in law and my 3 year old son under the same roof.

I think I rather need a charity drive for a hearing aid ;)
