Immitation of Athenian owl
« on: June 12, 2009, 10:33:14 am »
Hi,

Is this philistian hemiobol? The Athens head has very unusual details, especially in the bottom side.
o: owl standing right
r: Athens head right

The coin is 6.5mm and 0.3g.

Best Regards,

It's an odd style which I can't pin down. Most likely Levantine, but the local Persian-era coinages aren't too well known.
