I don't think a great number of collectors consulting this forum could be fooled by the two last coins I posted, there's nothing much dangerous about them to anyone who ever saw a real Probus ant (or any other ancient coin). But in the same breath I could say the same about a majority of the coins posted in the fake reports. These are not for those who know, but for those who don't. The seller who sold the last 2 ants succeeded in selling for about 150 euros worth of fakes in less than 15 minutes. So, as obvious as they are, there is still a profit being made with them, and quite a good one considering where they are from.

As for the first ones I posted, these were deemed "dangerous" by one of the largest french dealer (who had them in hand), that's enough for me. I wouldn't even have started considering buying them, not because they are fakes, but because they are plain ugly.

On another note, interesting the Severina. Looks indeed like the same manufacture >:(
