Even as a long standing member, I'm not 100% sure this question is allowed...  ??? ... But I will ask it anyway..  ::)

This guy has a fibula in his listing.... I have absolutely no intention of bidding, but I am curious, given that almost all his listed coins are obvious fakes, what are the thoughts on the authenticity of it?
( I already have a couple of nice ones in my cabinet of old and interesting things  +++ )

I am just curious.... I'm sure there must be a market for fake fibulae, but I really don't have the knowledge to spot one ... ( Know the ancient artifact or know the dealer applies  )

Just a request for a little insight into the modus operandi of a NFSL ...

Lee S.

Fake fibula are fairly common. Replaced pins on genuine patina are also very common.  I cannot condemn this fibula with certainty, but I think it is likely fake based on the source.

Why bother? There is no way to say these coins are genuine from the photograph. This is a rabbit hole we should just avoid.
