New confirmation of Eckhel reading of accidental misspelling of governor's name

• Marcianopolis  Quintilianus  Caracalla  acq date unknown
PIOS AVG AN    T[ÔNINOS.
AMNG I, 1 no. 643, both dies.
The unusual rev. with double lambda in name and with terminal omega / nu across the field is just this die pair.
In HrJ it is 6.18.1.11, var. (as in Pick, there are two here with the orb), but HrJ did not know the double lambda, not preserved on their specimen.  The present one is not great, but it is better.  Eckhel listed the Vienna specimen.

A completely new rev. type

Elagabal, AD 218-222
AE 17, 3.1g
obv. AVT KM AVRH - ANTWNINOC
        laureate head r.
rev. MARKIANOPOLITWN
Herakles, nude, stg.l., struggling with the Nemeaen lion(?), club behind
Ref.: a) not in AMNG
        b) not in Varbanov (engl.)
        c) not in Hristova/Jekov:
            obv. f.e. No.6.26.47.3
            rev. not listed
ex coll. Martinus (German Forum)

Actually I don't know the rev. depiction. But it's a nude male figure with a club behind. So it must be Herakles,
stg. l. And the only situation where Herakles puts its club away which I can recall is his fight against the Nemeaen lion.

Any opinion highly appreciated!

I see a tripod with a snake that is less coiled than usual and so obscures the tripod's third leg.

In re: no. 143
The text, loc cit, does not agree with the image.
Here is a double die match for the image, which of course is not Elagabalus, etc.
I realize that this is only a clerical error, one that you can fix easily.
Pat L.
So, for the Zeus you posted above, the rev. legend reads V K GENTIANOV M A RKIANOPOLITÔN
It seems to be 6.14.1.3 in HrJ, the obv. die being the one continued in use from Auspex.

Now back to the tripod coin. It's nevertheless a new type because all listed types have the head of the snake r.
