Yes, Forum's
Gallery is a source of unknown treasures. I have started to check Markianopolis for unlisted
types. A
side effect will be that I give references to all coins which I'm able to attribute. I
hope that this
side effect will not became a collateral damage.
Actually there are no coins of
Antoninus Pius from Markianopolis at all. It is common opinion that Markianopolis started coinage under
Commodus.
Varbanov has listed 1
type of
Sabina and 1
type of
Marcus Aurelius, but both with no evidence for authencity. So I think here we have the same problem: Authentic or not? Any opinion highly appreciated!
