ABBASID? Can These Be Identified?
« on: December 30, 2008, 05:33:02 pm »
Hello!

Can either of these coins be identified?  Dynasty?  Ruler?  Mint?  Country?  I am always lost on these issues!

Yes, are from Abbasids time but strucked by semi-independent Ghaznavids emirs in Afghanistan.

Hello!

It LOOKS like a dirham of Ibrahim [bin Masud] - 451-492 AH. (at least one of them!!!)  Does this seem correct?

I am not sure, names not clear enough for tired eyes. Emir name usually at bottom of reverse, this right side on top image and left side (upside down) on bottom image.
