Hi,

I don't really know where to put this message but I place it here because this is where he is such a help to us all and has made many friends (moderators please move it if you think it is better somewhere else).

I've just found out that Manzikert has been absent from these boards for some time because he is very ill in hospital. I'm sure we all would wish him and his family the very best and that he can hopefully return to provide us with the benefit of his knowledge and experience in identifying those coins, particularly the strange Islamics and eastern coins, that elude and defy many of us.

Regards,

Mauseus

He is knowledgeable and helpful, a pleasant character indeed and an asset to this place.  I wish him well.

... and a get-well message from me too.

Manzikert has to return on this board - who else could be able to fill the gap on medieval islamic coins so cooperatively?

I am very sad to hear the news about Alan.  I have been away from the boards for awhile and did not know he was not as active as before.  He has always been a very helpful and thoughtful person which I will miss a lot.

I hope the best for him and that he does recover from his illness.

Howard

Please excuse my being late; I've been here on this board too rarely in the last weeks. I've seen him attribute coins with ease when I couldn't even tell the top from the bottom. I wish him all the best too!
