Small Silver Coin Byzantine ????

Hi, it's been awhile since i have asked for and needed help. Again thanks to all who have been so helpfull in the past. Coin is silver about three grams in weight. A little shy of 1/2 inch. Any help as always would be greatly appreciated. AGAIN THANKS TO ALL FOR ALL THE HELP IN THE PAST.

Hi,

It looks like a 7th or 8th century sceat to me. Search for "sceat and monster" at www.CoinArchives.com and you will find a few similar examples, but not an exact match.

...on vacation in Ribe, Denmark, where the sceattas with a "Wodan head" on the obverse and a "monster" on the reverse (that you get in the same coinarchives search) are supposed to come from.
