This is an AE fals of the Umayyad caliph al-Walid ibn 'Abd al-Malik (AH 86-96/ AD 705-715), struck at Damascus, undated variety c. AH 86. Bone Dimashq type 4; Album 129 (scarce). The caliph's name is barely visible in the obverse margin (right image). The mint name is plain in the reverse margin (left image).
