2. 19-21mm & 4.2grams

The first coin is rare. it is an Aq-Quyunlu copper coin
of ruler Hamza 838-848AH.

The second coin is Umayyad fals. Mint and date are missed.

But I wonder why all your Islamic and other coins are
all worn.

Hi bakkar;
The reason these coins are worn is the fact that they were found in the 1960's and were considered as 'worthless' at the dig sites where they were found. My father kept them and threw them in a bag until I found them. Now I am tring to attribute them as they are valuable in my eyes. Just because they are worn does not take away from their historical value. Yes they are worn, but they are worn from going from hand to hand, transation after transation. These coins are worth saving.
Thanks again for your help,
Ray

Dear Ray
The coins are worn due to a wear in the die cut when it
is used to strike a large number of coins.
This is the main reason. The circulation affects the coin surface
a little but does not cause a wear.

Best regards
Bakkar

Hello bakkar;
I try to identify all my coins, even the wore ones. I can usually identify the coins my self that are in better condition and easier to read. These worn coins are much more difficult to ID. That is why I ask for help on those coins. I also have many very clean coins in my collection, but more that are not. I like them all. Regards,
Ray
