Need help with Elizabeth I

This coin just came in with the mail. Is it a halfgroat? And of what issue is this coin? I think it is of the later issues, because of the pellets, but I can't find the right references on that matter.

Hi,

The pellets were introduced in the 6th issue 1582-1600 and continued to the last (7th issue) 1601-2. Yours looks to have the mint mark Escallop (1584-6) or possibly A (1582-4) on the obverse. Cat ref Seaby (Spink) 2579?

Regards,

Mauseus
