The big one is 21mm and was the easiest to clean.  I'm doing a few scans during the process to show the results along the way.  My main reason for doing that was to see the results after round of cleaning (a few days soaking and ultrasound treatments).  Thanks for the encouragement.   :)

Actually now I am really interested to see the results as I have never used an ultrasonic cleaner! Woo Hoo!

Here are some during photos - water soak and ultrasound only, no other cleaning method used. Except the large coin has seen a soft brass brush.

I have since put the two smallest coins into about 4 or 5 hours extra ultrasound.  I hope to have pictures posted tomorrow.

Wow! I just took a good look at everyone else's coins boy did you guys do a good job!  My coins look like a load of crap compared to everyone else's. 

Attributing coins, umm, I think I’ll have to look that word up.  I can tell you all the coins look old and that is about the limits of my abilities.

should at least be able to find out the reverse types of some of your coins with the help of this page:

Michael - your large coin has a nicely struck, very symbolic reverse. There is also a site called wildwinds.com that has 1000s of coins pictured, and if you put part of the legend in (that is the inscription), it can kick out the possiblities, and lead you to some photos of similiar coins. It can be like a treasure hunt! Enjoy.
