Countermarked?
« on: January 17, 2008, 10:15:22 pm »
i have a AE22 bronze coin which i think is a Marcus Aurelius (Please correct me if im wrong) and i noticed that the coin has on the front something that looks like a countermark. Can u guys help me out and tell me if it is a countermark?
Also, if it is , is there anything special about it?
Thanks ,

Hi Daniel,

It looks very much like a countermark indeed. Maybe you should try to check here:
