« on: January 02, 2008, 10:18:23 pm »
This is going to be a very easy question .  The coin is  in it's final stage of cleaning, and actually looks great in hand  ( LOL  I need a Macro Camera )

AE 16 mm 2.4 grams
OBV  ::  DN CONSTAN-TIVS PF AVG. Pearled diadem, draped and cuirassed bust right
REV  ::  FEL TEMP REPARATION,  Soldier spearing fallen horseman.  M in left field
EX  ::  ALE  :Greek_Gamma:  ( alexandria )
RIC ::  <<<<<<<<< This is where the problem is........ is this RIC VIII 84,  or 86 ..

Thanks in advance

The unfortunate barbarian is reaching, so its got to be one of the two 84 listings. Which one will depend on the unfortunate head, is he wearing a pointy cap or is his hair in a top knot? I can't tell from the pic.  :)

It's always the head-dress of the fallen horseman. There are different types, from Phrygian bonnet to diademed head!

Best regards
