This cannot be a coin of Pope Gregory VIII (1187) as there were no coins issued in the names of the Popes from 983 till 1294.
This is a Bolognino of Pope Gregory XI 1370-1378.
The obv. legend is not PP. VIII but PP.VND.
Muntoni, 1-5; Berman, 207.

Thanks a lot  Maffeo
Correct Pope Gregory XI.
Bolognino obvers  GG PP VND.
Only today I have received the book Allen G. Berman.
I had confused VND (undecimus) with VIII:-[

Best regards
