This type  I've seen before,  but  I cannot find this again,  I think  , If I remember correctly,  that it was islamic but I'm not sure

could this be a monogran on the first side ?

EDITED****I have no ideal on the orientation of the first side,  the second side I am pretty sure is correct  showing the 29 ish looking symbole

Yes it is islamic coin, a Mamluk fals of Haji II mint of Dimashq
  792H 1st reign , but your coin is a double strike.
I have the original one see it below.
