The obverse dies of this issue seem to have been engraved by artists with a varying degree of craftmanship. To me, this obverse must be one of the best. Notice how the engraver managed to make the soft fabric of the veil come across.

Diva Sabina, wife of Hadrian AD 117-138, AR Denarius (18mm; 3.23 gram) Rome mint AD 136-138
DIVA AVG SABINA, veiled and draped bust right, wearing wreath of grain ears
PIETATI AVG; altar
RIC II 422b.

Wow!  Gert that is an exceptionally realistic portrait.  Very different from anything I've seen of Sabina. I really like it.

Very nice. It certainly conveys the sense of the veil clinging to her hair. Also, a more feminine portrait than the typical "Hadrian-without-beard" style
