I've got this coin. The seller who sold it to me identified it as:

Elymais AE Drachm / Orodes II.Middle 2nd century AD.
Attribution: Sear GCI 5905.
Obverse: King facing, anchor and crescent to r.
Reverse: Dashes

is it right? can you tell me something more about this coin? Thanks! ;)

The dating and order of Elymais rulers is not certain.  According to de Morgan the king is Orodes II, but according to P. A. van't Haaff, it is Orodes III.  This change was caused by the recent discovery of a tetradrachm in the style of Late Kamnaskires coins with the name of Orodes on it.  See the one in my gallery.

I highly recommend P. A. van't Haaff's book on Elymais coins.  I can't find my copy right now or I would type in the new order of Elymais coins and the old one.

Thanks. That's one I'll probably be buying in the fairly near future.

So you prefer the attribution to Orodes III, according to Van't Haaff, right?

After reading van't Haaff's and Bell's arguments for placing Orodes I (de Morgan) as Orodes III, yes I do and I will now have to change all the titles in my Elymais coin gallery.
