Dug today, I.D. help please....

Hi once again, I dug this Constantinus today (detector find), and would like an ID on it if possible.
It looks like it may be London mint.

Hi,
That'a s nice find!
The coin is RIC VI London 265 dated to late 312 or early 313 (immediatelty after the battle of Milvian bridge).
The reverse legend is PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS "prince of youth" which was a traditional reverse type for a new caesar or emperor, but Constantine here is using it 6-7 years after he became emperor which is rather unusual.

It's not that unusual, after all Constantine is the "eternal prince" according to the VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP series.

Constantine used this reverse for some time after becoming Augustus; here's RIC 267 from the same mint.

Here is mine from the same mint.  Only showing it because it is facing left instead, and has an unrecorded reverse legend break (It doesn't have a legend break  ;D ) I believe that this one is RIC VI London 227.
