Probus coin
« on: October 12, 2007, 04:27:49 pm »
Got a little problem with this Antoninian of Probus. It looks like RIC 921 or 922, but I feel rather uncertain.

Obv: IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev: CLEMENTIA TEMP, emperor standing right, receiving globe from Jupiter standing left
In center field S :dot:, in exergue: XXI

What RIC-number is correct? Am I right saying the mint is Antioch? Any more information, date...?

Most thankfull for any help!

Regards
Pierre
